Xiao-Yen Wang, Director

Xiao-Yen Wang graduated with the 1982 class of the Beijing Film Academy, the Academy's first open class after the Cultural Revolution (known as China's "Fifth Generation" of filmmakers). She majored in art direction and worked as a studio art director in Beijing and Chang Chun, Manchuria, until 1985, when she came to the United States. In 1989 she co-founded The Beijing-San Francisco Film Group with whom she has written and directed The Blank Point (1991), The Monkey Kid (1995) and I'm seducible (2006).

Andy Martin, Producer

Andy Martin is a cartoonist whose work in the early underground tabloids is called "the Andy Martin classics of the Sixties" by the San Francisco Chronicle. He was co-founder of The Beijing-San Francisco Film Group and producer or executive producer of all its films.

Li Xiong, Cinematographer

Li Xiong graduated from Beijing Journalism College in 1992 and is a cameraman with China Central Television (CCTV). He has shot both feature films of The Beijing-San Francisco Film Group: The Monkey Kid was his first feature and I'm seducible his first time working outside China. He has shot innumerable other features including The Herdsman (1999), a documentary about the Kazak nomads of Xinjiang with whom he lived and traveled for a year.

Jean-Pierre Tibi, Composer

Jean-Pierre Tibi studied music composition at LaSchola Cantorum in Paris and conducting and film scoring at L'Ecole Normale de Musique. He taught music theory in the Music Conservatory of Saint-Lo in Normandy and produced programs for France Culture Radio. His concert pieces have been performed in the United States, France and Mexico. In 1987, he moved to Los Angeles to write music for film and since has scored a number of award winning documentaries and short films. He was nominated for the George Delerue Award at the Flanders International Film Festival in 1995 for his score of The Monkey Kid. Jean-Pierre Tibi has an MA in music composition from UCLA, where he also studied for a Ph.D. in music composition.
